A well seasoned horse

A feisty sorrel quarter horse, Radar was a stallion for the first four years of his life. Once gelded, he maintained some of his dominant characteristics when in the pen with other geldings. To maintain an atmosphere of calm with the horses, we choose to keep him in a pen next door to the other geldings. His pen mate is the gorgeous mare, Kitty, who has lots of energy and flair. They make a great pair.

Radar is a wonderful horse to ride. He’s forward but never a runaway. He moves off the leg, stops and goes. Like any senior, he takes as little time to warm up, but once he’s been walking for ten minutes or so, he loosens up and is ready to go. Radar does well with consistent light riding for conditioning and to keep his mind active.

His pen-mate is the lovely mare, Kitty, and he shares a fence line with the other geldings. His nemesis is Jake as they glare at one another and vie for Kitty’s attention.
