Welcome to Legacy Ranch

Established in 2004 by Mike & Linda Hopp, Legacy Ranch is home to the Hopp family as well as a beautiful herd of horses.

Our herd includes a variety of rare breed horses as well as some of the more common breeds. Some of the horses are registered and others are grade. To us, it makes no difference in how we love and care for them.

Wagon and sleigh rides are a passion for us. With beautiful, well trained horses and a variety of carriage and sleighs, we are able to accommodate your private party or group.

We are also known to pull the new or restored horse drawn vehicle of others including for the Calgary Stampede Downtown Attractions, Calgary’s Heritage Park, Pioneer Acres in Irricana and the Pioneer Village in Medicine Hat.

Home to Emerge Equine, at Legacy Ranch, we offer equine-assisted learning and personal development programs along with other horse related programs such as adult and kids’ riding groups, wagon or sleigh rides, family experiences, horse training and mentoring.

Nestled among local farmer fields and about fifteen minutes east of Calgary, our location is convenient yet private. With a beautiful expanse of panoramic mountains in the distance, we enjoy the quiet atmosphere while working under the big Alberta sky at Legacy Ranch.

We are able to travel to many locations as well. Some of the locations we’ve visited include Calgary, Langdon, Chestermere, Strathmore, Okotoks, Dalemead, Brooks, Crossfield, High River, Airdrie, Cochrane, Irricana, Balzac, and more! Just ask if we can come to you.
